Lopez’s ensemble was a nice balance between stylish and comfortable. On her honey-blonde hair, she wore a cream cowboy hat with a thin leather band and a white feather. It went easily with a warm white turtleneck from Brunello Cucinelli. Her barrel-leg jeans and tan platform combat boots made her look polished. But the dark blue barn jacket, a classic style approved by royalty and recently revived by Prada, added an unexpected touch of elegance.
This was more than just another outing for JLo—she hit the streets of Aspen’s fancy shops, spreading some holiday cheer accompanied by not only her fashionable friends and choreographer, Fatima Robinson, but also manager Benny Medina, and a special guest, her own 15-year-old little princess, Emme. The trip wasn’t all about shopping. Earlier in the week, JLo had taken on the ski style with après-ski outfits including a sweater with a patterned shawl collar, Ugg boots, and a big white coat. That ability to easily change from warm ski looks to striking Western-style fashion makes her a trendsetter.
The holiday trip comes after a tough year for Lopez because of her public divorce from Ben Affleck. Even though they broke up, the two are said to still be close and have exchanged meaningful Christmas gifts. While dealing with these personal changes, Lopez has stayed busy with her acting work, including her well-received role in Unstoppable, where she played the mother of a one-legged boxer—a role that Affleck called “spectacular.”
